"First love deserves a second chance."
Lana's daughter Emma returns after a year in London. She has big news: she is getting married. The event will take place on an island in Thailand within a month. For Lana, the whole story only gets worse when she discovers that the mysterious young man who stole her daughter's heart is the son of the man who broke her heart years ago.

Mediocre film in which a young woman tells her mother that she is engaged. A rather predictable romcom with clichéd characters. It also all seems quite forced. Still entertaining at times and the film doesn't last too long. Also beautiful locations.

Well, another standard Netflix Romcom. Once again someone is getting married in a beautiful location and the bride's mother apparently knows the groom's father. Hilarious of course... Full of the standard clichés such as a gay couple, an argument halfway through the film between daughter and mother. A car that won't start on a remote beach... We've all seen it before. A clear 6.

Film that reminded me strongly of 'Ticket to Paradise' with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Doesn't have the chemistry of these two top actors, but otherwise the film isn't bad. Call it the “B-movie Netflix version.” But I did enjoy it. Occasionally funny and fun, necessary romance and beautiful pictures of Thailand. I like this genre of films and this one does not disappoint. If you like rom-coms, you should give this one a try. Considering the film is only 88 minutes long (budget?), it all has to go a bit fast, which I don't like... Maybe just long enough for others. Predictable and clichés? Yes. But that doesn't make it pleasant to watch. 4* because I simply had a nice movie night with a smile and a feel-good feeling at the end.
