Wonderful action movie.

What a directorial debut from Dev Patel!!

Great action, a fairly interesting story.

Some John Wick vibes with excellent camera work.

Dev Patel can certainly make more films like this, an evening of explosive action. Always fun

16 years after the sleep-inducing Slumdog Millionaire, Dev Patel can be seen in the Monkey Man, which he himself directed, based on the same kind of sad story.

Fortunately, this film does have some satisfying John Wick-esque scenes to offer that make it somewhat fun.

Furthermore, at times also original cinematography and beautiful neon-colored images. Here and there a nice gritty atmosphere and raw soundtrack. In contrast, some dark SFX scenes looked like YouTube videos with lots of compression artifacts (blocks).

Unfortunately, the other 75% of the film consists of spiritual nonsense and drumming, and we mainly see how corrupt India is. Come up with something new, please.

The parts that were entertaining took too long to appear, so the pacing was not balanced. Half an hour shorter would have been better.

Subtitles were okay. Translation good, but sometimes it disappears too quickly. It could be better.

Alright, just a passing grade.

Very strong directorial debut from Dev Patel.

Very similar to the first John Wick.

Lots of story and talk, but when there is action it is very solid.

Dev Patel is a good actor, we already knew that.

But as a director he can certainly make more of this.

2 hours of good viewing, sometimes a bit long-winded. But almost every movie these days is a bit long-winded.

Very satisfied with this movie
