Taklee Genesis x Worlds Collide plot

Fang, a middle-aged woman with a penchant for science, quits her job and returns home with her daughter when she learns that her mentally ill mother is back in the hospital. She becomes a teacher at her daughter's school and Fang realizes that everything in the town has remained the same: the inhabitants still believe in supernatural things and nonsensical rituals. She uses science to prove that superstition is unreal, but then she discovers a remarkable signal that could prove the opposite.
