Mea Culpa plot
Criminal defense attorney Mea Harper is about to become a partner at her firm. First she'll have to overcome an obstacle in the form of artist Zyair Malloy. He is accused of killing his girlfriend. Although Mea and Zyair develop an intimate relationship while trying the case, Mea also stumbles upon evidence that indicates her client may not be innocent after all.

This really is a horrible, bad, messy film, with bad acting, especially from Kelly Rowland, among others. She can sing, but acting is not her thing and the film is not interesting at all....

Exaggerated reactions from some here, the film is quite enjoyable, which starts with a murder case and gradually evolves into a thriller with a romantic, erotic atmosphere. The climax may not be that surprising, but the punchline surrounding the family is. The cast does a decent job, although Trevante Rhodes plays an annoying role. Shannon Thornton (Charlise) is a strikingly beautiful appearance and leading actress Kelly Rowland (singer) plays her role well. Some nudity also occurs. Not a film I would ever watch again, but the film is sufficiently interesting. 6/10
