Eden, who has been single for a long time, suddenly discovers she is pregnant after a one-night stand. For help, she turns to her best friend Dawn, who is married with two children. Eden hopes that Dawn can guide her during the pregnancy and after the birth of her child.

Shortly after helping her best friend Dawn [Michelle Buteau] deliver her second child, single Eden [Ilana Glacer] strikes up a conversation with Claude [Stephan James] during a train ride. They hit it off, and the evening ends in unprotected sex (because Eden is menstruating). Eden is stunned when she learns she is pregnant and relies heavily on Dawn to help her carry the pregnancy to term. But Dawn is extremely busy with her own family and accuses Eden of being too naive and not independent enough. Glazer occasionally verges on caricature, but Eden and Dawn's friendship feels authentic and the dialogue is hilarious. John Carroll Lynch has an amusing supporting role as Eden's gynecologist in a comedy that has not entirely been unfairly compared to Bridesmaids.
