Wander to Wonder plot

In the 1980s, Mary, Billybud and Fumbleton star in the children's television program Wander to Wonder. After their creator and creator of the show dies, they are left alone in the studio with his corpse. Left to their own devices, the puppets desperately try to keep making the show. As they struggle to find enough to eat, they continue to make increasingly strange episodes for their fans, and their new material may not be as suitable for their young audience.

A nice stop motion that I picked up on the occasion of the nomination for the Oscars via NPO. I had the feeling in the beginning of what is that, but in the end the message of the film becomes clear. Also very nicely made.

Nice interesting plot development with the death of the spiritual father where the creatures are left to their own devices. And then you know that it will go wrong. Not extreme, but in reality. Nice!

In itself a nice idea and the execution is also okay but the film lacks some focus - this thing really seems to go nowhere and mainly shows some moments. Well done otherwise but as a sum of the parts less interesting. Stopmotion will never be my favorite but in such a short film I can already handle it better than in a longer animation. 3.0*.
