Joan, together with her friends Linda and Susan, clean out an old barn after the death of Joan's husband. They are surprised to find bottles of whiskey, but even more surprised when they realize that he has invented an anti-aging elixir that can make them young again. With a fresh face and without pain, they set out to recapture their youth. But can the friends relive their glory days in the modern world and how long will the magic last?

After a eureka moment for amateur inventor Arthur [Ossian Perret], he dies as a result of a lightning strike. His widow Joan [Patricia Hodge] asks her friends Linda [Diane Keaton] and Susan [Lulu] to help her clean out Arthur's shed and comes across some bottles of whisky. The ladies think that Arthur is using the barn to distill illegal whiskey and decide to use the drink for a toast. The whiskey leaves you wanting more, but it soon turns out to have a side effect: the ladies become about 50 years younger. Temporary. They decide to use that to really show off. Formulaic comedy drama shows what's even worse than a neurotic Keaton: a mediocre actress [Genevieve Gaunt] trying to do an impersonation of Keaton. Lulu is entertaining and Hodge lends some dignity to the events, especially in a moving hospital scene with Hayley Mills.
