The title could not better express the content of this documentary about this French top star.

The portrait of Alain Delon - now 88 years old and very withdrawn - in his dealings with film directors and also in private life: changeable, difficult to fathom and sometimes glacial and sometimes burning.

I remember the 1970s when, together with Jean-Paul Belmondo, he was the cream of French cinema, mainly in the not so deeply human genre, but the adventurous, the police officers... Although there are exceptions that prove his incalculable versatility. The film makes all this abundantly clear and does not fail to let him speak about his youth and also to let the famous directors and people from his private life with whom he worked have their say.

Decent documentary.
