Christmas on Windmill Way plot
Mia Miejer expects her grandmother Ann to win the Christmas Market Fest Dutch Bake-Off competition with her award-winning Christmas loaf. However, Ann has difficult news to share. She is having financial problems and needs to sell the land deed to her family's Windmill Way estate. To make matters worse, the buyer is Mia's former boyfriend and he wants to demolish their sawmill to build a luxurious resort.

After Chad Micheal Murray did a great job in The Merry Gentlemen (Film, 2024) my wife and I watched another Christmas movie with the best man and in this Canadian Hallmark movie he again plays a nice role next to the relatively unknown Christa Taylor Brown.
Of course, you can tick off every cliché with the greatest pleasure, but what makes this film extra fun is the Dutch folklore touch that is attached to it. Windmills, syrup waffles and clogs. They all pass by. This extra touch of recognition in combination with the fun leading actors makes this an ideal tip for viewers who are looking for a romantic Christmas film for the dark days.
Just like The Merry Gentlemen, one of the better hallmark films.
