Nadia Messaoudi travels with her entire family in her father's disintegrating van to a wedding in Morocco. Najib Amhali's feature film directorial debut is a road movie in which a six-member family drives to Morocco in a rusty van for a family wedding. The focus is on 23-year-old Nadia [Hajar Fargan] and the difficult relationship with her mother Rachida [Fatima Khanfour]. Samir [Redouan Azmi] is 'the apple of my eye', Kauthar [Asma El Mouden] the depressed sister and Ali [Grandma Ahaddaf] the ignored, underappreciated brother. Nadia has also decided to get engaged to Nofel [Nizar El Manouzi], which revives an old family feud. Fargan barely gets a passing grade and the scenes with an annoying hitchhiker [Dries de Sutter] are unbearable, but the denouement is not disappointing. Telefilm.

Despite my not so high expectations of this "road movie", I was still very surprised.

A bit of drama, a bit of comedy, the old-school Moroccan parents,

towards their "more modern" children.

Still, it's quite a nice film.

The ending in particular is somewhat as expected.

All in all, quite a nice, interesting recommendation.
