Beautiful minimalist film of a waiter who waits in vain for customers from his shabby shop. He actually wants them to come and taste his unrevealing 'sopa', but moments later he pimps it out as fish soup, but in vain. Peeking at the fancy neighbors gives him little inspiration.

Poverty is also an asset. Yearning for a life companion, he appears clumsy and lifeless. Images sometimes say more than words. Sadness and loneliness are his part. I like this minimalist style without many words. The images speak for themselves. Sober and honest, but so layered. Close to 3.5*. I would have liked to see more of our man.
