Showy editing tricks support a standard story about arctic foxes Kina and Yuk who lose sight of each other after Yuk floats away on an ice floe. Kina is about to give birth to her cubs and must find a new home when a red fox takes over her den. Yuk has to find a way back through the wilderness, Kina ends up in the town of Jack City where the dog Rita helps her. Without Virginie Efira's narrative voice there would have been no story at all. Young children will not be sad about this, but this is particularly poor compared to, for example, genre classics The Incredible Journey, Tarka The Otter or Benji. Unfortunately, they don't make them that way anymore. Also appeared in a Dutch spoken version with commentary by Ilse Warringa (De Luizen Moeder).
