Amany, Behind the Lines plot

Amany Al-Ali is one of the few female cartoonists in Syria. She lives in Idlib, the only city that has not yet been retaken by Assad's forces. She and her neighbors are caught between Assad's advancing forces, extremist groups on the ground and Russian bombers. Threatened, accused and humiliated, Amany wonders if she can stay.
