Jian Ru Pan Shi plot
Officers Su Jianming and Li Huilin investigate a crime involving wealthy businessman Li Zhitian. Su ignores his father's comments and attends a banquet hosted by the businessman. This one makes a habit of making fun of others. As clues emerge, the investigation becomes more and more like a game of chess.

Happy new Yimou.
He has been out of the spotlight for a while, but that doesn't mean he no longer makes films. Fortunately, they remain available, especially when he comes up with a video like this again. You may believe the title, Zhang goes all out with light.
Furthermore, it has become a fairly typical crime film, entirely by current Chinese standards (spoiler, the bad guys always lose, because that is how the censors dictate). But in practice it is of course not that different from its international counterparts. Crime doesn't pay message or happy ending for the masses, the result is the same.
Especially a film that is visually convincing, every frame is bathed in reflections, light and color. The acting is variable, the soundtrack is not really memorable, but if I am presented with two hours of visual splendor, coupled with a pleasant crime story, then I will not complain.
