While Sinterklaas and his friends sail quietly towards the Netherlands & Belgium, the journey is rudely interrupted by Captain Bakkeljauw and his pirate crew. This changes the course and Sinterklaas ends up in Curaçao where a magical treasure can be found. Together with Captain Bakkeljauw, taxi driver Ty and mermaid Aquaria, they go in search of this treasure from the legend of Captain Whitebeard, but privateers are lurking…

Well, a 3rd film this year and it's not the usual club Santa and the like, so I was actually curious. But for once it can't make everyone look stupid, I also thought it didn't seem very pirate and Sinterklaas-like, a bit of bad acting, no, I would have seen it halfway through, /

Then at least they do a little better in the film ''Pirates from Next Door'', even if it is more comical.

Nice to see a completely different Sinterklaas film than usual! Exciting adventure, kids enjoyed it and can't get the song out of their heads. We as parents also had a good laugh at the dry Steve Brunswijk
