A little trifle from Pixar. Was offered in the cinema as a 'support act' on Elemental (Film, 2023). With the same protagonists as in the film Up (Film, 2009), with grandpa Carl and the hong Dug, but without the boy Russell.

Not very inventive and actually not very funny or moving. Maybe also because I didn't expect to be presented with this. A longer playing time might have helped, because there was certainly potential. The ending is left open. What we see is just some foreplay.

I mainly wondered what Pixar wanted to do with this. Boring, slow, nowhere moving and the film mainly seemed like a long introduction where I was afraid of getting something like that short film about Olaf (more than 20 minutes). Because there had to be a story, right? And suddenly this thing was over. Which says enough. A few nice moments and that dog is still funny, but none of the old magic can be found in it. 1.5*.
