Sophie's Rules plot

"Bring me your tired, your poor, your broken souls yearning to heal."

A tough but kind woman, Sophie is a retired nurse who has endured severe trials. She has turned her house into a transitional home for homeless people who need a helping hand to ease their way back into society. Within the confines of 'Cottonwood', a motley crew of people with diverse ailments work to overcome the demons that plague them through therapy sessions and a sense of family unity. While under Sophie's careful and protective eye, the residents' safe haven is threatened by society's norms.
