Director Alex Smoot is eager to depict a psychological decline and spends almost the entire film doing so. The first half hour is captivating, thanks to the sharp bickering and the constant tension, skillfully created by calmly portraying the dark corners and quiet sounds of the surroundings. This subtle direction is then unfortunately abandoned in favor of a more familiar narrative, which significantly diminishes the tensions between the two, only to end with a half-baked conclusion. A real shame, as the filmmakers undoubtedly show potential.
