"When Wall Street rigged the game, he changed it."
One of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street predicts that the shares of GameStop - an American retailer of computer games, consumer electronics and merchandise - will fall in 2021. A group of private investors finds out about this and wants to take action. They join hands with internet trolls on a subreddit called WallStreetBets. Together they try to save GameStop from destruction. Inadvertently they fire the first shot in a revolution that threatens to bring down the established order.

Just returned from a Sneak Peak evening. What a fun, energetic movie! It's slightly less in-depth and serious in tone than it might have been, but it explains the 2021 GameStop Short Squeez to the viewer with the right sense of depth. People who may not have much knowledge about it (including myself) have to pay close attention, but then you will receive the correct information. The film is very entertaining, the editing is smooth and the dialogues very intriguing. The acting performances are also very surprising, but the film is also filled with A-list cast members.
In conclusion, I can say that it is one of the more surprising films of the year. Although not perfect, the film keeps your attention and draws you into the whole Wall Street scam. Recommended!

Have seen better docudramas. Some funny comments don't make a film a comedy, so that label is unfair.
For the rest, average in all areas. Not bad but not great either.
I never really understood this whole thing, but this film made it a little better. Still, a barrage of investment terms will be fired at you, so keep that in mind.
Subtitles were fine, but given the subject matter it was advisable to pay attention to them.

Strong Paul Dano in this Dumb Money. Energetic, flashily edited stock market film in which millions of small followers/investors decided to invest together in video game chain GameStop. A - in this film - fiercely romanticized story in which large investment funds took a beating from 'dumb money'. In reality, many large funds have also made good money from this. But nevertheless a very nice film to watch.
Good, infectious cast that knows how to convey this story, the direction of Craig Gillespie also looks good.
