Take Care of Maya plot

When nine-year-old Maya Kowalski was admitted to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in 2016, nothing could have prepared her or her family for what they were about to experience. As the medical team tried to understand her rare disease, they began to question the basic truths that connected the Kowalskis. Suddenly, Maya was in custody, despite two parents desperate to take their daughter home.

Very sensational documentary, permeated with subjective renderings and interpretations. It is of course not possible to get a solid picture of what was really going on medically, but you can say that the fixed dystonia of the legs and the use of ketamine are red flags. Ketamine will undoubtedly help, but yes, you can say the same about heroin. I don't have a high opinion of the people who hang around the case, especially those vultures from the legal profession (the only ones who benefit from this whole drama) but also that journalist. They don't seem to realize that child abuse exists and that toxic parent-child relationships do indeed occur.

Strong documentary with some flaws. I hear some here questioning ketamine in CRPS. In the Netherlands, ketamine is also used for severe CRPS. And to say that the girl got better in the hospital and that she could still walk at home is a weak argument! Many, especially young girls, improve enormously as they get older and some even recover completely. And it's not because she can go home that she doesn't regularly have severe pain, those children also work with a physiotherapist every day. A relative of mine has chronic fatigue (CFS) and sometimes she works in the garden for a while but then she goes to sleep for a few hours, but people see them in the garden and think she's making something up! And another thing, the hospital didn't think about CRPS, but the very heavy bills always said CRPS. I found the father very weak and gave absolutely little support to his wife. The downside of the series was that it was not said that many mistakes are made, but that there is also a lot of child abuse, by the way, I think that some people have no right to children!!!
