Cheap, but sometimes enthusiastically directed slasher film by director Patrick Garcia. Everything is being tried left and right to make this film unique, but the two Garcias (one of whom directed, but they both wrote the film) do not get beyond an extremely predictable whole with few (say, none) interesting characters. The first half hour is spent on introduction and introduction, but opportunities such as the beautiful African nature are completely ignored. As a background, some random drama scenarios have been thrown into the film, but apart from the fact that this is sloppily incorporated into the story, it is also poorly acted. In between there are some brutal murders that are depicted in a surprisingly explicit way, but there is also a turning point for this. In this case, the turning point is that almost the entire film is shot during the night hours, so that the horror, as icing on the cake, is presented in a confusing way half of the time. At times it was a punishment to watch Hell Trip, but there is potential hidden somewhere because of the clever choice of location and details in the murders.
