"A Mighty Morphin reunion 30 years in the making."
It's been thirty years since the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa escaped her prison and the wise Zordon formed the Power Rangers in response. The Rangers, now grown up, reunite when Rita returns in a new guise and kills one of them: Trini, the original yellow Ranger. Together with Trini's daughter, the remaining members - Billy, Zack, Rocky and Katherine - try to stop their old nemesis and save the Earth.

Childhood sentiment, but really a worthless film further. That's how the yellow ranger dies and go, next scene. Not a single moment of feeling in it. And so the film races on. Moderately acted too. This seems more like a collection of individual scenes than a real movie. Just a few more points purely on sentiment and those zords are always fun. 1.5*.

A year after Power Ranger Trini gave her life to protect Billy [David Yoster] from Robo Rita [Barbara Goodson], Zack [Walter Jones] has taken custody of Trini's daughter Minh [Charlie Kersh]. Now they decide to tell Minh the truth about her mother's death and Minh doesn't thank them for that. Plus, she sees a chance for revenge when Robo Rita unleashes a new plan to drain the Power Rangers' powers. Billy and Zack prepare for a battle to the death with Kat [Katherine Sutherland] and Rocky [Steve Cardenas]. Will Minh be able to help them or is she just an obstacle? Haskell falls back on the original formula with many original cast members, but the action scenes are a lot more convincing, partly due to the improved techniques. It is and remains light, unpretentious entertainment for the youth (and for nostalgic adults), but it could have turned out much worse. Dedicated to original cast members Trini Kwan († 2001) and Jason David Frank († 2022), who appear in clips from the original television series during the credits.
