Black Girl Missing plot
Cheryl has a disagreement with her daughter Lauren because she wants to drop out of school. Lauren stops responding to Cheryl's texts, after which she realizes that Lauren is missing. Cheryl enlists the help of the police and media, but is not taken seriously. They think Lauren ran away, but Cheryl thinks otherwise. She goes to investigate.

Racism is a perpetuating evil of American society (not just there, by the way). This film sketches the sharp contrast in the attention of the police and the media for the missing of a black teenager on the one hand and a missing young blonde on the other. Not particularly successful as a television film, but the message is no less.
