A short film that is actually about nothing and has no dialogues. A young woman finds an old gun, then we go back in time and see a bunch of samurai, played by some famous actors such as Asano and Shibukawa, and armed peasants played by members of the band Seppuku collecting Pistols, with the samurai played by Shibukawa has the gun. That's all. And another shot of a samurai played by Matsuda overlooking the skyscrapers of Tokyo after the credits. But in the meantime the atmosphere is fantastic, especially due to the overwhelming soundtrack by the aforementioned band Seppuku Pistols. A band that can best be described as a 20-piece punk band, but with traditional Japanese instruments. It sounds eclectic and is very hypnotic in combination with the tightly shot images at the Kasosan shrine in Tochigi prefecture. 4*.
