Hell of a Summer plot
24-year-old Jason Hochberg arrives at his beloved Camp Pineway for chaperone weekend. His fellow counselors are teenagers and Jason struggles to bond with them. At the same time, Jason doesn't realize that a masked killer has killed the campsite owners John and Kathy and wants to strike again.

Funny variation on Friday The 13th, with an approach that is somewhere between comedy and horror. The main plus is the enthusiastic cast, including directors Billy Bryk and Finn Wolfhard. The latter has a minor role, but Bryk is quite on a roll here and provides a number of hilarious moments. Lead actor Fred Hechinger (also producer) is also fine. The script is furthermore entertaining enough, with many references to other films within the genre.
