Sous le Soleil de Satan plot
In a small French village, Donissan (Gérard Depardieu), an inexperienced pastor, undergoes a spiritual crisis and has doubts about his fitness for the priesthood. When he meets the 16-year-old girl Mouchette (Sandrine Bonnaire), he takes care of her. Mouchette is the mistress of a married politician, but pregnant by another man. Because he refused to run off with her, she killed him. Donissan sees the devil in the young girl and tries to save her.
