Tod im Paradies plot

Young backpackers Lizzy and Volker explore a Caribbean island by motorbike. Suddenly a truck races towards them and an accident can no longer be avoided. When Volker wakes up from his coma in the hospital, he immediately asks about Lizzy, but no one can tell him anything. In desperation, he manages to alert his girlfriend's parents. When Lizzy's father Gregor arrives on the island, more incidents raise questions. Why is Volker getting police protection? Which side is the beautiful doctor Maria Gonzalo on?
