"There's Always Something To Fight For"
After his best friend died on a joint mission, special forces officer Matteo Donner wandered the world, wracked with guilt. Back in Amsterdam, he ends up in a one-man war in the streets and on the canals of the city between explosions, flying bullets and colliding cars. Donner has only one goal: to save the kidnapped daughter of his dead friend.

It doesn't get dumber than that sentence, but that also seems difficult to me.
Starts off quite nicely, but you soon notice how full of clichés it is and how limited Rico Verhoeven's reach is, he can't do much more than look with a sad dog's head, so he's not going to become a kind of Schwarzenegger. Didn't stop the makers from showing some more muscle porn in which Rico can show his muscles in different poses, just like Ahnuld in Commando. It's not too bad that he doesn't have to walk in a swimsuit that is too small.
The white-collar thug who stole from the bad-headed thug played well. For a moment I had the idea that the agent was also played by a boxer, but not, she also acted a bit better. Apparently she knew Krav Maga.
The final comes too quickly and is very easygoing. All in all, reasonable action and nice shots of Amsterdam from a height (with a bit of advertising for the city, including whorehouses), but it's not enough.

There is always something to fight for
This movie just wasn't it. Too much 'acting' for an action movie. Actions happen that last up to 3 minutes. In my opinion, the story was not well put together. End scene really ridiculous how simple. Budget seems to have run out. Don't think I'll watch it again...

reason for me to watch was just to see Rico Verhoeven play.
as an actor there is still some practice to be done, but who knows..
it is and remains really a B-movie, in other words, not much special.
the fight scenes, on the other hand, were quite entertaining.
the woman who played Shira vd FBI (Rona-Lee Shim'on) also had nice fight scenes.
film-technically just a piece of junk, but because Rico played in it.....a fiver anyway (2.5 stars)
