Meet Me in the Bathroom plot
"An immersive journey through the New York music scene of the early 2000s."
After the heyday of disco and punk in the 1970s and 1980s, the New York music scene seemed to have died out. But around the dawn of the 21st century (and the third millennium) things bubbled up again, especially in Brooklyn. Based on frontmen and one frontwoman of emerging bands at the time, this documentary paints a picture of a new music generation.

In the 1990s, little remained of New York's vibrant music scene. Using amateur footage (often of questionable quality), this documentary outlines how the rise of The Strokes revitalized the music scene and how and why the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, accelerated its revival. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and LCD Sound System, among others, are featured extensively. This is a treat for fans who find it easier to see some connection in the film.
