Il Santo Nero plot
This documentary follows Francis and Mirelle, two young Africans who escaped the persecution and injustice of the dictatorship in Congo. They cross the waterline of the Mediterranean to reach the Sicilian coastal city of Agrigento and continue to live there. During the days of festivities dedicated to San Calogero, something irrational happens in the small town. The locals, indifferent to the presence of the immigrants, venerate the saint from Carthage, a man who once boarded as a stowaway. Just like the thousands of illegal immigrants reaching the Sicilian coasts.
