Somewhat restless film about a young man, who has to choose between his true love on the one hand and a lot of money that he gets when he marries a girl, whom he also starts to like. The twist towards the end of the film is the death knell for everything that precedes it. A serious drama that is presented too light-heartedly for my taste. Remake of a 1981 film of the same name.
