Couleurs de l'Incendie plot
In February 1927, the funeral of the wealthy banker Marcel Péricourt took place. His daughter Madeleine is the only heiress, after the suicide of his brother Édouard Péricourt a few years earlier. Fate befalls her when her son Paul is seriously injured and becomes disabled. Without her ex-husband to back her, Madeleine will have to take over her father's business on her own. She takes advice from her uncle, the unscrupulous Charles Péricourt. Madeleine will have to face many obstacles, the misfortune of men, greed, jealousy and corruption in a France and a Europe where totalitarianism is on the rise.

Quite a session, but a full and heaving event with a somewhat historical background and, given the epilogue, based on real facts.
Very entertaining and with a strong cast, with Benoît Poelvoorde, Olivier Gourmet and also Johan Heldenbergh, a solid Belgian contribution.
Clovis Cornillac, frequently asked, albeit usually for a supporting role (he got his Césars from supporting roles), in the director's chair for a few years now, can certainly look back on a successful film, well constructed and capable of winning the viewer's interest, for this story that is full of not so nice human behavior. Cornillac also plays an important role alongside leading actress Léa Drucker, certainly in good form.
