The Gorals - Highlanders of Carpathia plot

The Gorals live in the Podhale, a mountainous part of southern Poland. This ethnic-cultural minority is one of the most distinct groups in Europe. They have their own distinct style of dress, economic trade, construction, culture and folklore. The documentary follows four men who each practice an age-old traditional profession: wheelwright, shepherd, woodcutter and bagpipe builder. The film seeks answers to the current and urgent question of how these people manage to reconcile their culture with the modern world.
