Playground plot

After four years of exile from Afghanistan, Irfani arrived in Paris in the spring of 2011. He found shelter under the Jaurès metro station, on a basketball court where about 40 Afghans stayed. It will take more than two years before he receives an answer to his asylum application. During that time, Irfani discovered the customs and culture of France, as well as the language, albeit slowly. In the course of his story, Irfani shares in this documentary his daily life and his benevolent view of France. He reveals his past, his religious upbringing and his refusal to join the Taliban.
