Leaders of WWII: The Early Years plot

Some of the leaders of World War II were Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle and Adolf Hitler. But what were these three men doing twenty years earlier during World War I? Were they brave soldiers? Cowards or hotheads? Which of them led the way in the mud of the trenches? This documentary explores their history during the Great War. Based on the testimonies of historians and military experts, the stories are told chronologically and the viewer sees how the military fortunes of the three men are interwoven.
