Good film about an ex-soldier with brain damage who returns home. A quietly rippling drama in which you slowly get to know the two main characters (both of whom have to deal with trauma). The film may not really impress anywhere, but it does look away easily. Two fine roles from Brian Tyree Henry and Jennifer Lawrence.

Not very good, one that you quickly forget. A bit of aimless happening, a film that doesn't make a point, including the open ending where you get the feeling that the whole story hasn't been told yet. Drama that couldn't touch me anywhere, probably the so far reasonable ratings are due solely to the presence of the talented and ever-worth seeing Lawrence: without her this print would have received little (or even less) attention. Her interplay in the scenes with Henry look natural and credible and for me were the only plus points in an otherwise flat and too volatile drama. She will probably not get an Oscar (nomination), which Jen is clearly aiming for, because these hours and a half were too insignificant for that.
