The Amber Light plot

The story of whiskey has been told many times before, but this documentary offers a different look, showing how the drink was shaped by geology and climate, through stories told on the roadside and in the corners of pubs. Whiskey is a product of folklore and myth, of music and alchemy, of chance rather than design. The film takes viewers on a journey through the lesser-known parts of Scotch whiskey culture, alongside writer Dave Broom, who is on a quest to better understand his national drink.
