Ah. Pretty okay.
Kevin Hart's standard busy stuff isn't exactly my idea of humor. And in the first scene the tone is set in that regard, so I strongly suspected that there would be little to laugh about for me (although the name "The Teddy-bar" did raise the corners of my mouth for a while).
Of course, the story of this action comedy also has little originality to report. But for the most part, "The Man From Toronto" doesn't do a whole lot wrong either. Patrick Hughes knew all too well that he made a standard action film and understands well what such a snack needs, and especially not. His latest achievement is nice and smooth and here and there I unexpectedly had to chuckle a bit. Towards the end there was a rather nice action scene as a nice dessert.
