In 1976, palm reader Vikramaditya predicts that a state of emergency will be declared in the country. The prophecy comes true and Vikramaditya becomes famous, but has to flee to Italy. When he returns two years later to spend time with his mother and his boyfriend, Vikramaditya has short relationships with women. He doesn't believe in love. Until he meets the doctor Prerna during a train journey. They fall for each other, but Prerna's uncertain future makes their romantic time seem short-lived.
