Keep Rolling plot
Ann Hui is a legend in the Hong Kong film industry. In 2020 she won the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice International Film Festival, but at 70 years old Ann Hui has no plans to stop. This documentary by Lim Chung Man, an artistic director with whom Hui has worked for a long time, follows Hui's path into the film world. Her early works gave an important impulse to the Hong Kong New Wave and from the outset, Hui's works dealt with humanistic subjects. After 40 years of shining its camera on Hong Kong, the camera now shows Hui herself and gives viewers a glimpse into the mind of one of Hong Kong's most beloved filmmakers.
