Great movie.
Best not to know too much about this movie. It's not that the film takes long to show its cards, but it's more fun to know nothing. Given the cast and producers, it is possible that you expect a little too much from this film. It is not a very sharp satire, but it is funny, smooth and with a fitting ending.
The fact that a TV director is at the helm is unfortunately something to notice, but it is nice enough to overlook that.
Incidentally, Anya is not very interesting in this film, especially Hault and Fiennes steal the show.
3.5 stars.

Great film in itself, although it is just a restaurant story with an eccentric cook and peculiar guests, not much to write home about .. Were it not for the fact that the atmosphere is handled well and 'ralph fiennes' is, as it were, a kind of 2nd voldemort puts down and very subtly acted in it together with his assistant cooks / family.

Nice but very predictable. Great acting by Ralph Fiennes but not enough suspense or plot twists to make it interesting. The scene with the sous chef was unexpected, but that was one of the few highlights in film where NMM could have done a lot more.

Wat vondt ik dit persoonlijk een slechte film zeg
Wat een onterecht hoge score van IMDb. Dit maakt mij verdrietig
.
Duidelijk een film voor het grote publiek dus.
Bij het begin van de film had ik al het gevoel, dat het niet mijn film is. Totaal geen goede opbouw, matige horrorelementen. Er had zoveel meer in kunnen zitten: Lichamelijke resten in het menu kwam direct, als eerste in mij op. Maar dit onbrak zelfs in het script. En naar het einde toe, hoe verzin je het. Triest gewoon.
Sorry geen aanrader(vindt ik persoonlijk).
