Tanay and Anuja are brother and sister from western India. They both fall in love with the same man, an artist who stays at their parental home in Poona. He seems like the perfect tenant: the rent is paid on time and he likes to listen to their mother's musings about the impending collapse of Indian culture. But he is also mysterious. He has no last name, no family, no friends, no history and no plans for the future. When he runs off with Anuja, the artist turns the family's life upside down.
