In 1986 (I'm just assuming), a group of theater students are preparing for a performance under the guidance of director Patrice [Louis Garrel]. The type of film that deceives the viewer again and again by showing emotional scenes that appear to be part of a play. Tedeschi and his associates apparently think that's brilliant, but by constantly reminding you that a film is by definition a play, there's no fun to be had from it. A pretentious, artificial idiot.
