Good film about a man who travels from New York to Vietnam to deliver beer to his friends during the war. A special true story set during the Vietnam War. The alternation between comedy and drama may not work equally well here, but the film looks away easily and there is enough happening (especially nice to see how the main character manages to bluff his way through everything). Zac Efron knows how to play an entertaining role.

What a positive response here. Thought it was a boring movie. Everything went very smoothly .. the first half hour at least because after that turned off. So tastes differ.

Film about the war in Vietnam with an idiotic story, which turns out to be true. It doesn't do much for me, except that the sharp contradictions in public opinion about the war are brought to the fore. Bill Murray and Russell Crowe give the film a bit of cachet in modest supporting roles, but the rest is not much. The soundtrack is actually the best part of the movie.
