In 2012, a terrorist group led by Sulieman Abdulwahed [Abdul Alshareef] hijacked a Turkish Airlines plane. A group of CIA agents were unable to prevent all hostages from being killed and lost touch, partly because the perpetrators managed to disappear without a trace. Ten years later, CIA boss Vick Wallinger [Laurence Fishburne] receives information suggesting that a mole within the CIA was partly responsible for the disastrous outcome. Henry Pelham [Chris Pine] is ordered to investigate and interrogate his former team members in order to discover the identity of the mole. In fact, a whodunit in which the events surrounding the hijacking are seen from different perspectives, while old feelings of love and resentment play a key role. Well acted, but it is a lot of talk and not enough action.

Strong thriller annex tragic love story, with solid acting by Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton. The pace is quite low and there is absolutely no action and/or spectacle, but the plot is intriguing and cleverly constructed and the characters are interestingly developed. The film also gradually becomes more exciting.

A thriller with a somewhat surprising denouement, unfortunately I missed it for the most part because I was already half asleep. Too bad the film is so incredibly boring, there could have been more in it. Beautiful people, beautiful locations are not enough to keep a film interesting for an hour and a half.
