Cameron hosts a poorly performing science children's television program. He himself has a childhood dream that he now wants to fulfill. In his garage he starts building a spaceship so that he can feel like a real astronaut. Meanwhile, he tries to mend his relationship with his wife Erin and discovers strange clues about his life.

Original, well-acted and very cleverly constructed dry comedy film about the host of a poorly performing scientific children's television program (Jim Gaffigan) who begins to notice strange things in his environment. The affected atmosphere and slightly surreal tone are somewhat reminiscent of Donnie Darko, although Linoleum eventually takes a completely different direction in terms of plot. In any case, it is very beautifully and convincingly done, with well-developed characters and a fine balance between humor and drama.
