RK Veulpoepers BV - De Hippies van Beek plot
In the 1970s, De Veulpoepers was born in Hilvarenbeek: a festive, combative folk band with left-wing ideals. They are regular guests at every village festival and every demonstration with 'D'n Egelantier' as the biggest hit. A movement arose around the motley crew that puts socialist ideals into practice by founding small businesses, communes and the Tilburg concert hall that we now know as 013. In 1996 a reunion culminated in a fierce quarrel and the curtain fell for one of the the most obnoxious and controversial bands the Netherlands has ever known. The musicians look back on their glory days and their painful downfall.
