Vincenzo is the owner of a bookshop in Paris whose life revolves around rare books and caring for his disabled daughter Albertine. But then he meets Yolande, an exuberant young woman full of zest for life, who is rehearsing a play in the adjacent theater. Vincenzo gradually comes out of his rut and rediscovers emotions he thought were gone.
