"Evil Comes In All Forms"

Nearly 40 years after the gory DeFeo murders at the infamous 112 Ocean Avenue house, an antique toy monkey ends up in a small Nebraska town. It is given as a present to Mark, the head of the family, who is fifty years old. However, the toy monkey is possessed by an evil demon, which makes Mark want to kill his very own family.

Very substandard part in the lengthy Amityville series, but one that stands out above the rest of the crap due to some special moments. I must admit that the setting appeals to me considerably more. This time no family living in a haunted house, but a family gathering that quickly escalates. It is a fact that motivates me more to become invested in this world, even though that is sometimes difficult because of the terrible acting. No tension or atmosphere worth watching, but a striking finale in which the father murders his family with a hunting rifle. The whole thing only lasts 66 minutes, making it an ideal and quick snack. You will of course forget it in no time, but I found it slightly more interesting than the other cheap work in the "second series".
