Two brothers and their sister must decide together what to do with their 86-year-old father, who has begun acting very strangely. Should they place him in a nursing home? Victor [Javier Gutiérrez], Natalia [Carmen Machi], and Julián [Javier Cámara] urgently need to discuss the future of their father [Ricardo Lacámara], who is behaving increasingly irrationally and can no longer live independently. However, persistent, annoying habits and other annoyances make it difficult to get together, let alone reach concrete agreements. Gay breaks open the theatrical setting with the help of Julián's wife [Alexandra Jiménez], who introduces her family members while going about her daily business outside the house. Despite an enthusiastic cast, amusing dialogue, and relatable situations, this would have been better suited to the stage.

Based on the personal experiences of director Cesc Gay. This was also his sixth collaboration with Javier Cámara.
A striking detail is that Alexandra Jiménez's character speaks to the audience. In an interview, the actress revealed that she initially clashed with Cesc Gay over the moments when her character breaks this fourth wall. Jiménez tried to make the dialogue sound as natural as possible, but Gay wanted it to sound as artificial as possible. In hindsight, it would have been better to simply leave this out.
Large families can undoubtedly identify with this film. Some of the dialogue was quite entertaining and funny.
